Apeles Andrade

25 Oct 1935 - 28 Apr 2020

Apeles was a family man. He will be remembered as a loving husband to Assamina, father to Mervin, Melissa, Kenneth and Ossie, doting grandfather to 9 grandchildren, and a beloved brother and uncle. Apeles liked his home comforts: a glass of whiskey, his armchair, and afternoon television followed by a nap. He spoke very little, unless he had something important to say. He had a surprisingly sharp sense of humour that he let out at the most unexpected moments. His smile reached his eyes. He was a religious man; he went to church every Sunday and shined his shoes before every outing. He loved visiting Goa (where he was from) whenever he got the chance. He would want to be remembered as a good man who didn't want or ask for anything, and who's legacy lives on through his family.
