Claire Oakes Hello, I just wanted to say thank you all once again for supporting me on Sunday and this very important cause. Just under £1000 raised is an incredible amount which I am truly grateful for.

I've updated a picture below taken after the event - proof I ran the biggest half marathon in the world 🙌🏻

I'm done now for the foreseeable future so will stop pestering you all for your money! Thanks again xx

Hi, so we arrived in Newcastle at 9:30 this morning after an early start at Bristol airport. Had a reasonably chilled day - including meeting Darth Vadar!!

Thank you all for your support! Looking forward to updating you all tomorrow when I'm done! Cx

On Sunday 9th September I will be running the biggest half marathon in the world - The Great North Run. Sunday the 9th September is also the 7th year anniversary of my brother-in-laws passing. Ross was diagnosed with bowel cancer in January 2011 and lost his fight 9 months later on the 9th September. Ross was just 30 years old and left behind his wife of 10 months married and his 3.5 week old Son.

This is my 3rd Half Marathon “Running for Ross”. Something I promised him I would continue to do to raise money for the charities working so hard to find a cure. Your donation and support therefore really is appreciated - thank you xx
