Our team are dedicated to treating children with bowel conditions such as chronic constipation and faecal incontinence. The Children’s Anorectal Physiology Service (CAPS) was established in August 2016, with funding from the Health Foundation, PORT charity and Childwich Trust. CAPS is a speicalised service providing novel diagnostic tools to guide the management in these children, which is supported by a multiprofessional team (Paediatric Surgeons, Gastroenterologist, Health Play Specialist, Clinical Scientist, Clinical Nurse Specialist and Clinical Psychologists). The patients we see are living with a debilitating condition, which is life altering – both physically and psychologically. It is our mission to improve the care for these children.
