Are you sporty? Do you enjoy socialising? Are you a member of a club or society? Do you have a personal challenge you’d like to achieve?

If the answer to any of these questions is yes, and you’d like to raise money for Bowel & Cancer Research then we will do what we can to help.

What do you want to do?

We are fortunate to have lots of supporters who come up with their own bright ideas to raise money and awareness through community events. Some examples are:

  • Hosting a pub quiz
  • Golf Days
  • Themed club nights
  • Bake-off challenge
  • A series of Jazz evenings in local venues
  • Student collections

But we also have supporters who love an active challenge, here are some of the events they've taken part in:

  • Iron Man triathlons
  • The Land Ends to John O'Groats cycle
  • Nationwide marathon events
  • Vast hiking expeditions
  • Nationwide 10K events
  • Swimming events in the UK and abroad

Friends of Nathan Bray constantly take on challenges to fundraise in his memory

What support will you get?

We can provide you with branded items to support your fundraising, from t-shirts to banners to buckets, and if you want, help with PR support to generate local awareness of your event.

If you're holding an event we can also send someone to attend to talk about bowel cancer and bowel disease to help raise awareness and challenge taboos.

We are always staggered by the amounts of money that our supporters raise through their own events, we are lucky enough to know a group of very motivated people who have “been there and done that”, so if you’d like help with planning or ideas we can put you in touch with others who can help with advice on what to do and what not to do.
