Bowel Disease Research Foundation and Bowel & Cancer Research put patients’ views at the heart of all our research projects.

We believe the most effective studies are those that work hand in hand with people who have lived experience of bowel disease.

A diagnosis of rectal cancer is extremely daunting – and patients in this position face major choices about their treatment options. Every person is unique, and that means they prioritise different things when considering what care is most suitable for them.

We’re funding a research team at Birkbeck, University of London aiming to improve understanding of what matters to people going through treatment for rectal cancer.

If you’ve been diagnosed with rectal cancer and had surgery to remove the tumour, we want to hear from you.

You are invited to participate in this study by filling in an online questionnaire about your experiences: http://psyc.bbk.ac.uk/ambcstudy

All the information you provide will be completely anonymous, treated with the utmost confidence, and will not be used for purposes other than the current study.
