My Prudential RideLondon

When: 15-16th August 2020

Cost: Free to sign up

Fundraising target: You are free to raise as much as you'd like!

Get on your bike – or scooter, skateboard, tandem, penny farthing, trike, unicycle – and join the free My Prudential RideLondon event to help save the UK's charities.

The Covid-19 pandemic has had a catastrophic effect on the UK’s charities, with the cancellation of thousands of fundraising events and the loss of billions in income.

Celebrating cycling

The eighth edition of Prudential RideLondon was due to take place on 15 and 16 August 2020, and while the festival can’t go ahead as planned, we want to keep the wheels moving and celebrate the event weekend by encouraging people to get on their bikes – or any other non-motorised wheeled transport! – and help save the UK’s charities in the process.

My Prudential RideLondon is building on the success of The 2.6 Challenge – created following the postponement of the London Marathon – which became the biggest collective fundraising effort in the world, raising more than £11 million and involving nearly 4,000 charities.

Whatever your age or ability, you can join in – wherever you live in the UK and with whoever you like – family, friends or by yourself.

The #MyPRL challenge

Choose from one of four challenges for all ages and abilities, which you can do on a route of your choice, wherever you are in the world, on 15 or 16 August:

• My Prudential RideLondon-Surrey 100: 100-mile ride

• My Prudential RideLondon-Surrey 46: 46-mile ride

• My Prudential RideLondon-Surrey 19: 19-mile ride

• My Prudential RideLondon FreeCycle: an event that allows you to set your own challenge (minimum distance 1km) on the wheels of your choice: bikes, scooters, skateboards, trikes, balance bikes, roller skates, wheelchairs or anything that is self-propelled (e-bikes are fine too)

Just before the event weekend of 15 and 16 August, you’ll be able to download the My Prudential RideLondon app – from here you can track, share and log your ride.

Whatever you choose to do for My Prudential RideLondon – cycle 19, 46 or 100 miles, scoot around your local park, or trundle up and down your garden on your trike – help to inspire the nation by sharing pictures or videos of your challenge on social media using the official hashtag #MyPRL.
