I have been working at Bowel & Cancer Research since July 2016. The team here is amazing, and the office is always buzzing.

I have 5 years experience of working in the Third Sector, both as a volunteer and worker in a number of different roles and charities, from women’s refuge to perpetrator intervention, all of which needed a lot of administrative support.

I graduated from Buckinghamshire New University in 2012 with BSc (Hons) in Psychology and Criminology and I'm currently working towards my MSc in Forensic Psychology. This means I have a slightly different insight into the psychological impact that being diagnosed with a bowel condition can have on an individual. The forensic element of my studies has also led to a number of interesting conversations in the office...

Coming from a psychology background I love that the charity is all about funding the best research, and with a number of family members who suffer from IBS, I understand how important our research is to such an under researched area.

As our Grants Administrator, I love hearing about the great progress we're making with our research and I know that it will make a difference to people's lives.
