Medical research changes lives – would you like to be a part of it?
On December 6th we cordially invite you to the launch of our new Public Involvement Programme. Held in London, the launch will include presentations from those involved in research on their areas and how they would welcome the involvement of the public.
Bowel & Cancer Research is supporting this initiative whole-heartedly. The programme will bring the opportunity for the general public to feed into research at the National Centre for Bowel Research and Surgical Innovation in a new and exciting way – no longer just on the “receiving end” you wil be invited into the process from the very beginning, helping to formulate research ideas, promote and communicate these clearly to others and make the results known.
We have designed 3 levels of involvement, thinking about the time that people realistically have during their busy lives. You can find the level that suits you, from email/phone contact and consultation through to sitting on the steering group of a clinical trial.
Importantly, you need NO MEDICAL KNOWLEDGE, just A DESIRE TO HELP AND AN INTEREST IN BOWEL DISEASE.
